I drove one for a couple days, an '83 w/ 12 valves; one of the last years they made them. Very quick, but also steady, even on wet roads. No idea why Wolfsburg discontinued this affordable sports car. A few years later it was replaced by the "Corrado", a bigger machine, which cost like 6 grand more. It failed.
