Actually there is a thing behind windscreen wiper. So bus drivers can close doors with that button. And yes it has a key too.

they usually leaves the driver's window opened, but if someone closes it, there is a lever outside the bus to open the door

There are TWO DOORS on a bus: the passenger door that opens with a lever, and the driver's door. THE DRIVER'S DOOR WORKS LIKE A NORMAL CAR DOOR.
