If I eat myself I won't disappear, nor will I becomes twice as big. I eat myself, I dress my myself, I groom myself, I do all kinds of things myself and have yet to experience such a drastic reaction or consequence :-P
When u eat urself u can't become twice as big because if you did u would eat urself again and become 4 times as big, and if u'd continue you could grow forever, which doesn't make sense(!). You can't disappear either cause there needs to be some part of you that eats your last part, which needs to be your last part after your last part, which is a contradiction. So the correct answer is you can eat yourself until you cant' eat urself anymore, without disappearing or growing.
You will eventually no longer be able to eat yourself due to A. you die or B. your brain does not allow yourself to harm yourself any further. Either way, your body mass will remain the same, but appearance wise, you will look smaller. In other words, good job, you condensed yourself.
