Thats not even funny. People get sent to hospitals and have to get X-rays and maybe even surgery because of that.

i have a brother with pica, it tends to run in people with autism. My brother is 7 years old, we cant give him pencils or he'll eat the eraser.

This disease is more common in developing countries like from where I am. I always would have weird craving for chalk. ash of the incense stick, ice cubes, the scrapings of wall (tastes just like chalk), cement and stuff like that. And rarely I would lick an iron objects for that metallic taste. And no, I am not Miley! I was anaemic, lowest Hb count reached 6.8 mg/dl, calcium deficiency and vitamin D3 deficiency which reached 8. The thing is, people make fun of you and you think you have a psychological disorder, but it is just plain deficiency

I think my friend has this. He always eats spare paper during class. Has eaten multiple notebooks. Most likely due to lack of iron.

Some of my friends eat paper when they have a lot of mistakes on it. Some do it for no reason. They also chew on their jumpers and t-shirt. It's weird when they do that. I stare at them. Everyone stares at them...

This Isn't funny. Pica is an eating disorder that can be caused by an underlying disease. I have had this for over a year now. I have had anemia for a couple of years now due to underlying disease and the type is iron deficiency. You can't help craving the things that you do and so you eat them when you can. Same with people with pica, except, you eat things with no nutritional value because you crave them. Family and friends may think you're weird when you're not at fault.
