I happen to have this mental disorder and find nothing funny about it. It gets very annoying in everyday life including school and public places. It is very difficult to deal with.

This actually isn't funny. I've had misophonia for a year now, and it's affected my everyday life. I can't even go on a car trip without freaking out, or listening to music so loud I'm eventually told to turn down the volume. I get so annoyed and frustrated when my mom breathes too loudly or when any one of my teachers shush the class.

I used to have this when I was younger. We had a ceramic dish we stored our metal utensils in even the wire whisks. Every time one was dragged out it would scrape on the dish and make this awful sound that just set my teeth on edge. I also had this powerful feeling whenever I smelled tuna. Both feelings hurt a lot and I loved tuna so much.
