Since you asked... it got its name from the nearby town of Toad Suck, AR. That got its name from the heavy whiskey drinkers in the area when the town was founded [don't ask, it didn't make sense to me either, but it's true!]
One of the most admirable things about Arkansas is that it doesn't try to hide that it was founded by heavy whiskey drinkers. We are Arkansas and this is Toad Suck. DEAL WITH THAT.
